   NEW FACES AT ISR:
INTRODUCING SUPERVISORS
IN THE TELEPHONE LAB

Since 1987, the majority of ISR's projects have been conducted from its centralized Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) laboratory. Today, the "lab" remains the heart of ISR's survey research with over 40 interviewing stations, 80 part-time interviewers, a recruiter/trainer, several interview monitors and supervisors. Recently, ISR has welcomed three Senior Supervisors to its survey research center.

David Law joined ISR as a Senior Supervisor in September 2002. He has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from York University. David's background is in Market Research and various forms of telephone solicitation. In the late 1980s, he worked for Decima Research as a Team Leader, where his interests in research first began. Prior to ISR, he worked as a Call Centre Supervisor with Consumer Contact for four years. David is thrilled to be working for ISR where he can pursue his interests in academic social research.

Raymond Garrison has been a Senior Supervisor at ISR since January 2003. He holds a Specialized Honours B.A. (magna cum laude), an M.A. in Geography from York University and is presently pursuing a PhD in Geography, also at York. Raymond has presented and published several academic papers related to qualitative research methodology. In addition, he has designed and implemented questionnaire surveys.

Stephanie Brown also joined ISR as a Senior Supervisor in January 2003. She has a diploma in early childhood education from Seneca College and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology at York University. Stephanie comes to ISR with many years experience in Market Research, both as an interviewer and a supervisor.
